The group stage of Caseking King of Kings has come to an end, with Ninjas in Pyjamas and mousesports topping their respective groups.
The highlight of the group stage came during the opening day of the tournament as Mikail "Maikelele" Bill made his debut for Ninjas in Pyjamas. The Swedish team played according to expectations and eased past Planetkey Dynamics 16-5 before beating Epsilon 2-0 to finish at the top of Group A.
The second place of the group went to Cloud9, who were sent to the Lower Bracket early on following a 10-16 defeat against Epsilon. The North American side, who are bootcamping in Stockholm as they prepare for DreamHack Winter, were able to pick themselves up and defeated both Planetkey Dynamics and Epsilon with 2-0 scorelines to advance to the semi-finals.
Maikelele's first big test will come against Virtus.pro
Group B had quite a few surprises, the first of which was Titan finishing at the foot of the table thanks to defeats against mousesports and Virtus.pro. Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's side made it two victories out of two games after beating London Conspiracy 2-0 and will be followed by the Polish side into the playoffs, which look as follows:
